Application example: Fire suppression system
The DIOLINE PLC can automate complex subsystems and integrate autonomously operated systems easily into vehicles with different communication interfaces (MVB, CANopen, RS485, Ethernet). This is shown in the above figure based on a fire suppression system.
The process of fire detection as well as the subsequent extinguishing reaction is defined in national and international standards. Based on this, the individual programming of the DIOLINE PLC permits the connection of bus-operated smoke alarms as well as the control over the extinguishing medium. For reasons of availability, it is also possible to achieve component redundancies by modularisation.
The operator is in a position to maintain the system easily via the individually adaptable diagnostics software with guided visualisation and without having to train service personnel to a high level.
