Signal Transducer for the TRDP Ethernet Bus

The new audio signal transducer TRDP-AST (Audio Signal Transducer) offers a variety of audio functions and supports up to 256 MP3 and WAV files. With its 15 MB memory, it is optimally suited for voice messages, signal tones, and music. Through the integration of TRDP (Train Real-Time Data Protocol), the audio signal transducer is involved in the exchange of status information, diagnostic messages, passenger information, and control commands. This enables intelligent interactions, where devices trigger actions via the TRDP bus that the TRDP-AST reproduces as audio signals. In addition to Ethernet-TRDP control, the audio signal transducer features two configurable digital inputs as a safe fallback solution. In case of a TRDP failure, emergency signals can be triggered and played through these inputs.

The configuration of the TRDP-AST is done almost in real-time via a user-friendly web server. The integrated broadband speaker produces a high sound pressure level of up to 103 dB at 2.5 kHz (1 meter distance). The LÜTZE TRANSPORTATION audio signal transducer is equipped with a wide-range power supply (24 to 110 volts) and can therefore be used worldwide on rail vehicles. It is designed for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C and meets all relevant railway standards (EN 50155, EN 50121-3-2, EN 50124-1, EN 50657, EN 61373, EN 45545-2), as well as the EMC standard 06 of the Federal Railway Authority, which enables easy retrofitting. The audio signal transducer can be flexibly installed on DIN rails or rear wall mounting.
